Feeding
the future sustainability
We upcycle food waste to sustainable protein feed and fertilizer,
using the ingredient of the future: insects. We breed black soldier fly
larvae (BSFL) to create a circular system. Food waste is no longer
wasted but becomes avaluable resource to produce nutritious
products for people, animals and our soil.
Our products
Protein-rich
Adult BSF larvae contain up to 60% protein,
fatty acids Omega 3-6-9, a natural
prebiotic chitin, calcium and other
micronutrients.
Naturally safe
BSFL contain a natural antibiotic - lauric
acid which eliminates the need for any
synthetic disinfectants.
Sustainable
BSF larvae need minimum amounts of
space, water and energy to grow, leaving a
far smaller carbon footprint than other
protein sources.

food waste
of food waste is generated
globally every year
Food waste emits 4.4 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases
6% of global greenhouse gas emissions
Dumped at a landfill, food waste starts to rot and emit
methane, sulfur oxide, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans.
This is caused by the lack of oxygen at landfills: instead of
turning to compost, food waste slowly rots.
Irrational use of food waste poses a risk to global food security
- 828 mlnpeople around the world live in hunger
- 3.1 mln children die from hunger every year
- 70% more food shall be produced by 2050
- At the same time, ⅓ of all food goes to waste
Insects can solve the two challenges
by upcycling food waste to valuable
products. Food waste is no longer wasted
